Delete Subset
Removes an assembly (subset) placed on a panel and cleans up all its associated machinings (drillings, pockets, hardware parts) on the underlying panel.
How it works
- Launch the Delete Subset tool from the toolbar.
- Move the cursor over the subset you want to remove — it is highlighted with a red bounding box.
- Click to delete the subset. Its machinings on the panel (edges, construction points, hardware parts) are cleaned up automatically.
- Continue picking other subsets, or press Esc to exit.
Keys
- Shift = Extend selection to sibling parts of the same subset on the current panel.
- Esc = Cancel the operation.
Tips
- The tool detects the subset via the subset attribute stored on its component — only tagged subsets can be picked.
- Deleting a subset also erases the edges, construction points and hardware/assembly parts inside its footprint on the host panel.
- Use it to safely clean up assemblies without leaving orphaned machinings behind.
