Panel Renamer Tool

Rename panels, components, and groups in the model by clicking on them — displays an overlay with each component's current name and opens a dialog to assign a number and description.

How it works

1. Activate the tool — all panels and groups display a name label overlay
2. Hover over a panel or component — it is highlighted and selected
3. Click to open the label editor dialog and assign a number, description, and numbering method
4. Confirm the changes — the label updates immediately in the view

Keys

• Esc = Cancel the operation

Tips

• Both panels and groups are supported — groups have their sub-components renamed automatically
• Choose between incremental and other numbering methods in the dialog
• When renaming a group, all sub-components are renamed to match the new parent name
• The panel number and description are stored as component attributes for use in cut lists and CNC export
