Sloped Rectangle Tool
Draw a sloped rectangle by clicking four points — insertion point, width, depth, then height or slope angle. Supports both horizontal and vertical orientation modes.
How it works
- Click to set the insertion point
- Move and click to define the width
- Move and click to define the depth (horizontal) or height (vertical mode)
- Move and click to define the height or slope angle — type a value in the VCB for precision
Keys
- ← → ↑ ↓ = Toggle between horizontal and vertical mode
- Ctrl / Option = Toggle between height and angle input for the last step
- Esc = Cancel the operation
VCB Input
- Width step:
length — set precise width
- Depth step:
length — set precise depth or vertical height
- Height step:
length — set precise height; or angle° when angle mode is active
Tips
- Horizontal mode: width and depth are flat, height creates the slope upward
- Vertical mode: width is horizontal, depth goes vertical, height creates the horizontal overhang
- Use Ctrl/Option to switch to angle mode and type the slope in degrees instead of a distance
- Dimension lines in red, green, and blue show each axis as you build the shape
